The meet ended with a blast. I can’t say that I enjoyed myself because I was running like mad, and it was CRAZY planning two events at the same time, but I must say that it all went well and sailed smoothly thanks to my co-organiser and my team.
I have to give a HUGE shout out to Alex for coming, and mingling around. Fame aside, he is one totally down-to-earth person with a life! I mean, in spite of all the things he has achieved, and all the fame he has gathered from all over the world, he is still this young boy who is proud to say, “I am from Kuching”. And of course, not forgetting the lovely Irene. I have worked with quite a few people but I must say, this humble, kind lady is the best person I’ve worked with. She is DA BOMB behind this event, borrowing us a place, sponsoring the drinks AND UNLIMITED FOOD, and more than RM 200 worth of prizes! And what I find MOST humbling is, she is not after the name or buzz, she just loves to see people having fun. WOW! I cannot find other better words to describe her other than humble, kind and VERY helpful! And of course, we MUST thank her for putting up with our craziness!! :) Oh, and of course, her fantastic crews who worked so hard to make sure everything goes well!
And of course, to all those who were present, you guys just totally worked the place with your laughs, smiles and chattering. :) Thanks for being there, and all the warmth and just the whole environment really inspires me. There’s so much love around, and it’s so nice to see people from all gender, races and age come together and exchange views, ideas, experiences and stories. A place where (I hope) no one is judged based on their look, features, age, gender, etc, but a place they come together and celebrate because they share a common interest - blogging and/or music.
Last but not least, my co-organiser, Mr Alwyn Tay and my awesome crews - Niggy, Eldon, Justin, Anna and Ah Ge for putting up with me, and helping me. I can safely call them true friends Honestly, I can be a pain in the Arse (with a capital A) when I’m stressed, but these people put up with it, and not only that, they gave me their BEST help from helping me do things to feeding me or wiping my sweat!
Now, this is just the first part, give me some time to edit some photos and write a proper entry about what happened. :)
Here’s a group photo of half of the people present because half of them left earlier. We have over 60 people present, based on my record.
Ok, I was gonna post the group photo but I realised that it’s in Kenny’s camera, so I’ll post it up HOPEFULLY latest, by tomorrow, and if you have written a post about the meet, let me know and I will link you, if you want. :) :D
Meanwhile, check out these three blogs I found with pictures!
Jackie Chua - I didn’t talk to you at all but nice meeting you!! :)
Fahriee - didn’t get the chance to speak, but at least we did say hi and stuff!!! Oh, and I must say you’re bloody cool!
Ah Bao - I still remember the phone incident! Haha.
