So over the past week, I have been working with a production shooting a corporate video for Sarawak Convention Bureau. The production company is a KL company, so almost all of them were from KL.

The entire shooting wasn’t as good, or as smooth as I thought it would be, and definitely not one of the best experience I’ve had, but I really appreciated the people I met, and the places I got to go through the shoot.

We ‘officially’ started shooting on Saturday at 7.00am, and morning call was at 4.30am! I only had like 2 hrs of sleep, God dammit!

We spent the entire morning at the airport. It was wet and miserable, and I was tired and sick.

This is my Producer, June, who is one of the most sporting, fun, and crazy producer I have ever met! My first impression of her was no where near anything that I have said because she was on the phone and scolded, “tell him to go home and fuck his own mother”, which totally shut me up! But turned out, she’s just REALLY fun, crazy and most of all, down-to-earth!

This is Pamela and Vanessa, two of the talents/casts I talked the most with. They’re Vince (Malaysian singer)’s sisters, and they are on the new season of Amazing Race! You would think that with such credits, they would be a snob, but these two are the funniest people ever! Pam is Miss Random Cartoon who can do a thousand different accents and cartoon sounds and Vanessa is Miss Bubbly and she has one of the cutest laughs!

They are a pretty inspiring duo who stands up for what they believe in, but most of all, their attitude towards people, especially Vanessa who has this charm and patience when she talks to people.

This is the departure hall of Kuching International Airport. I must say it’s almost like a glass house minus the heat.

Mahera (not sure if I spelt her name right), is another talent/cast from Bosnia has beautiful blue eyes. She is another girl who say random things that make people laugh!

The second day was spent at the Cultural Village. I was very sick then, but work continues. Seeing the people dancing and playing their instruments in their costumes make me beam with pride being a Sarawakian. There’s no place as colourful, and as interesting as Sarawak, in Malaysia, I must say. Sue me if you don’t agree.

I was put in charge of the talents that day, which means, lesser work for me, except taking care of the talents, such as, listening to their jokes, stories and singing; answering their questions and doing nothing. I was sick, so it was a good arrangement. :P

Besnik from… Kosova? There three of them there from Kosova, and they have the ‘Borat’ accent! Well, almost. :P

I can’t remember the guy’s name but he kept asking me really funny things, and asked me to teach him to swear in Malay and Chinese.

Miss Random Cartoon just got up from her nap. We had VERY limited sleep throughout the entire production.

The shooting ended at around 7.30am, 4 hours earlier than the day before, which was good! But we still had preparations to do, so we ended up sleeping at about 12.00pm.
