Short Sashimi Salmon

April 24th, 2008

This is going to be a short entry because I need to catch up with my sleep debt. I’m now back in RADelaide. People has been PM-ing me on msn saying it’s SADelaide and BADelaide, not RAD. Everybody has a problem with Adelaide!

Anyway, the 5th day in Melbourne was spent with Anselm because he had the day off. We met Dict for some sashimi / Salmon Don. You have not lived or ate any Japanese food until you tasted this damn thing! And the portion is HUGE!! Somehow it comes across as small in this picture - imagine 6 pieces of Salmon almost the same size of your palm.

MANNN! The combination of fresh salmon, rice, home-made wasabi, avocado and soy sauce spells DELICIOUS! The avocado and salmon gave it a creamy flavour, and the home-made wasabi, which is not as nasty as those you get in the market compliment each other so well I think if they’re humans, they’re the best er.. threesome ever!

Oh, and I just love those fish eggs!

We then walked around the city taking street arts (which I’ll put up pretty soon I promise) and we went over to the memorial ground.

I didn’t bring my camera, and I cannot find a proper picture of the memorial except this.

It’s the building at the back, NOT ME! Although a statue of me as a memorial would be rad!

I was leaning down taking this photo.

YEH!! See ‘BORNEO’ there? WOOOH! That’s where I’m from babe!

A proud Borneo-ian / Sarawakian, even prouder Kuchingite!

Oh, and I tried something new!

I DID IT!! I’ve been meaning to get a shot with a tinge of sunlight in the background (with the glares, rays and all). I did this using my N73.

I can’t remember what we had for dinner - doesn’t matter, not important.

Have I told you that San Churro is good? It’s so good we went there on Friday, Sunday and Monday! Can you imagine how good it is now? SO good!

That’s the famous Churro’s. If you’re planning for a visit, go there when there aren’t a lot of people because that is when their things taste better.
