One fine sunny day, I get the opportunity to meet fellow blogger, Wuching and his wife, Therese. They took me for a walk along St Kilda Pier and Docklands after a super YUM dim sum lunch.
Docklands is a park right outside the Melbourne CBD, and this is where all the huge companies buildings are, as well as the Melbourne stadium.
And it is also here you find A LOT of those random art pieces I said before. This is just a few compared to many random ones on the street and highways! Last year, during the Melbourne Youth Ambassador’s Workshop for Reach Out!, I asked one of the Melbournite:
“What is that pole doing in the middle of the highway?”
“Don’t ask!”
*shuts mouth, eyes wide opened*
*whispers* “Why? Is it like a spiritual thing or something?”
“Nah, it’s just Melbourne - the city of art. There will be more things you don’t understand about Melbourne.”
-_-
Even Melbournites are random.
Aight, let me name you the following art pieces in my own interpretation.

“Horny Males Wood”

“Abnormal mushrooms”

This one’s too complicated.

“How my mother dry the carpet.”

“It’s a building, it’s a rocket.. No, it’s a piece of METAL!”

Erm.. o_O? What you reckon?

Ok, this one’s a real explanation of this art piece. It’s called the cow on the tree, inspired by a real life event. Apparently after a huge flash food, cows are often seen trapped on trees. Of course they’re dead by then.

Pisa has The Leaning Tower of Pisa; Melbourne has The Leaning Lamp-post of Melbourne!
Kiasu.

After such a long, relaxing, enjoyable holiday, it’s *really* hard to ease out of the holiday mood and get down to work.
It’s almost like dragging a 5 year old kid whose playing happily outside with his friends into the house and force him to sit down quietly and complete his homework.
Injustice!
Truth be told, I miss Melbourne.
Not only the life, the random art, the street arts, the food, but the people as well.

After being stuck in.. Adelaide, RADelaide, SADedelaide, BADelaide, whatever delaide you want to call it, for 2 years, I think I’ve had enough. Initially I thought I’d be able to live with the quietness for the rest of my life, but turns out, no, it’s slowly killing me. That doesn’t mean I didn’t have some of the best moments of my life here in Adelaide!! :)

Entering Melbourne is like returning to civilisation. Now, Adelaideians, before you throw any rotten tomatoes at me, honestly, Adelaide is way too quiet for me. Maybe it’s still a developing city, so let’s give it the benefits of the doubt.

Then again, maybe it’s just me. I think I’m getting this ‘addiction’ of moving. I cannot stay in a place for too long - in fact, Adelaide is the place I spent the longest after my hometown, Kuching. It’s time to move again.

Now, the question is, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Gold Coast?
Who knows, maybe I can move between all the different cities every once in two years?

I have to thank Anselm for the inspiration for this trip. I was initially planning to go to Tasmania, and has planned everything, but turned out it was just a tad too expensive for a student like me.
He is like a brother I never get to have. He first called me a brother when I was still a small (literally and physically) kid in Secondary 1 (Year 7).
Oh, come on, what form of ’small’ are you thinking about?!
Then on, during St Joseph’s School’s Annual Gathering Camp, he’ll drop by with food for me.
Also in the house and people I have to thank is these two people.

They brought me around, made sure I was comfortable and check on me every now and then. Especially Shen who shared her story with me. It must be incredibly hard, but you did it, and it just goes on to show how strong and determined you are. I can only see successes and motivations ahead of you. :)
In my dictionary, friends are people you can share your stories with, go totally whack (e.g. dancing, jumping and singing out loud around the house), people who tells you there is cabbage stuck between your teeth and people you can be yourself WITHOUT any judgments. This is what I read on my dictionary, and these people fits PERFECTLY in that definition.
MELBOURNE, I shall be back! :D
p/s: Sorry for the awful singing and dancing!! :P

Haha, some people call Melbourne - Melbored. Like how you called Adelaide, SADelaide.
I like the interpretation of ‘How my mother dry the carpet’, haha.
I’ll be in Adelaide end of May, for 2 days, what’s there to do? Basically looking for some night activities.
