I just think that sometimes, Singapore Airlines goes a bit overboard with their use of their air stewardess as their “mascot” - if I’m allow to use that word.

This was the card I was given when I went to the Singapore Airlines office to have my air-ticket changed. It has this woman printed in colour on one side, and on the other side, it has a masking tape and a number written with a bold marker (texta).
Ok, my problems with that are:
1. if they have the resources to print the woman in full colour, they should have the resources to print the number instead of writing it in texta - otherwise, save the ink, help combat climate change!
2. Using a woman as the “mascot” is a bit too sleazy in my opinion, almost verging on a porn-star company than an international award winning airline company.
3. There was only one counter that was operating, so I don’t understand the need of a number system. A bit too ridiculous, in my opinion. There was two staff, one manning the numbers (i.e. pass the customer a number when they comes in) and one doing the work.
Qantas office has 8 staff serving the customers and Malaysia Airlines has 3. Singapore Airlines has *drum rolls* 1.
What’s happening to Singapore Airlines? To make things worse, during my flight in January, the entertainment system was out for almost 40 minutes and all they could do was to tell us that it will be back shortly. By shortly, they mean 40 whole minutes - all the passengers got a bit frustrated and restless, except those who were happily sleeping already.
I’m not impressed at all. Singapore Airlines is a bit too over-rated in my personal opinion.

would u accept money to have yr face replace the air stewardess? but sadly it wont help sales though. a pretty face smiling at me makes me smile back n i feel good towards the company. it gives a human face to an organization. :)
