Everyday, we create new “truth”. The truth is, these newly created “truth” that we believe are all just based upon our perception.
Historically, the church has monopoly over the truth, but after the Enlightenment, everything is up for grabs - life, death and the “soul”. And we create truth everyday based on what we are told by the political leaders, scientists, doctors, priests, monks and any significant figure. But all these truths are just our perception.
Just like when I think that the truth is, you are my friend. That is the truth when I believe it based on how I perceive it. What if my perception fails me? Are you still my friend?
I used to think that helping others was as easy as picking up an injured bird, nursing it and once it’s healed, let it fly.
Then I realised, sometimes, it’s not as easy as that, because the bird might not even choose to fly, or the bird refuses to fly. Then, there are times I realise that once the bird has flown, it makes me sad and wonders a lot.
The truth is there is no truth. Our perception is our own truth, and even the judge who determines whose right or wrong based it upon his own perception and the perceptons of the jurors. Life is not written in black and white, and there is no rule to it. Truths come and go. Just like the wave.

The worst thing of all is, we don’t even know if this life is actually a “truth” or is it just a dream, or a stimulation.
Sometimes, things we do don’t get appreciated. Sometimes, we do things and we don’t get what we deserve in return. Sometimes, we want something so bad, and we still don’t get it. It’s all our own perception, and until we learn to control our thoughts and know how to work our perceptions, we’ll continue to create truths each day, and we’ll continue to have our perception and truths fail us every now and then. Whatever it is, we’ll just continue to create new truths each day and no one knows everything especially when it comes to what’s right or wrong. It’s up to us on how we perceive it and until we try, we do it, learn it, and know it, we’ll never know the truth.
Mother Theresa once said, “People are unreasonable, illogical and self-centered. Love them anyway. If you do good, people may accuse you of selfish motives. Do good anyway. If you are successful, you may win false friends and true enemies. Succeed anyway. The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway. Honesty and transparency make you vulnerable. Be honest and transparent anyway. What you spend building may be destroyed overnight. Build anyway. People who really want help may attack you if you help them. Help them anyway. Give the world the best you have and you may get hurt. Give the world your best anyway”
Because life is not destination. It’s not about getting from birth to death like getting from Point A to Point B. It’s a road trip. It’s the things you do between birth and death, the fun you had, lives you’ve touched, toilets you’ve visited, cows you’ve photographed, and all the others.

…and even more “cheem” is the fact that every single minute detail we change or do in our lives will cause a ripple effect somewhere….think about it.
