I finally managed to catch up with Alvin, and over tea, he shared with us another vulnerable side of his pasts, and to know where he came from, and all that he has achieved, this man truly deserves all the respect he gets at the moment. Isn’t it funny how some people I have spoken to perceive Alvin as an arrogant person because he is probably one of the most respectable and successful businessman / photographer in Sarawak, if not, Malaysia; but in actual fact, he is probably one of the most down-to-Earth Malaysian professional I know who is willing to share his wisdom and knowledge.
He believes in making peace within one self and with their own environment, and that is why, it is hard to see him having a bad day. Irregardless, when you’re around him, you can be guaranteed some laughters and wisdoms.
I believe that people who dares to share their vulnerable pasts, or present, are inspirations.

3 more days in Kuching, and I haven’t met everyone yet, and haven’t finished my errands! This time, I’m going back to Australia for good, and who knows when am I coming back again.
It’s 1.55am and my tired brain is making me think about my crazy schedule when I get back to Adelaide! I am reaching on Wednesday morning and (hopefully) I’ll go straight to uni. I have a presentation (which I have yet to prepare) at Brighton High School speaking to 200+ Year 12 students about mental health and www.reachout.com.au.
August should be a quiet month, except I have a few factsheets to write, and a quiz to create.
Early September, I fly 2 hours east-north to Sydney for a weekend, then mid-September, I fly slightly over an hour east to Melbourne for 3-5 days for a Conference, and end of September, I might fly about 3-4 hours west to Perth.
Oh no.
