In yesterday’s news, the largest stick insect in the world was named after a Malaysian who found it.
It said in the newspaper:
“Measuring well over 30cm, the stick insect was officially named Phobaticus chani, or Chan’s megastick, in this month’s issue of the scientific journal Zootaxa by British scientist Philip Bragg.”
The last time I heard, they say asian has small “stick”.
Chan was quoted saying, “This is something so special.”
